According to media reports, repeated death threats have scared Hollywood actor Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes. The death threats received by the stars are believed to have come from anti-Scientology groups. Both Tom and his wife have called in the FBI owing to security fear. Sources close to the star, a leading Scientologist, said that the threats have come from groups opposed to the religious organisation. 

 

As per reports, the security for Tom, Katie and daughter Suri has been tightened week after protesters from the anti-Scientology group targeted the Los Angeles premiere of Cruise’s film 'Valkyrie'. The actor was present at the premiere show. Now, the family has been moving around in bomb-proof vehicles.

 

According to sources, the death threats were so serious that the FBI has been called in. Cruise is due to fly to London for the UK premiere on January 21. Sources said that Tom is terrified and a feeling of insecurity has developed within him. Earlier in August, threats were made to place anthrax in the air vents of his Los Angeles office.
