With an objective to promote contemporary Indian art and artists, Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) of the US has elected Tina Ambani as the trustee of the museum. Tina Ambani is the wife of renowned industrialist Anil Ambani and is a graduate from the Los Angeles Institute of Interior Design.
Tina Munim has been associated with the promotion and development of all sort of Indian art. She has also founded the Harmony Art Foundation for the growth and prosperity of emerging artists. In a statement, the newly appointed trustee claimed that Indian art, be it classical or modern, has great power and potential within it.
As far as the collection and presentation of modern and contemporary Indian art are concerned, PEM has always been at the forefront. The museum has also been engaged with the promotion of Indian artists. According to Tina Ambani both the Harmony Art Foundation and Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) has wonderful relation in between them.
Tina Munim has also worked with the boards of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, besides being engaged with the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai.
