In order to bring billions of inaccessible people all over the world under the same umbrella, the father of World Wide Web, Tim Berners announced the launch of a World Wide Web foundation. The newly formed organization will also devote efficient time and effort in studying the working procedure of web. Reports confirm that the funding for such a gigantic project will come from media funders like Knight Foundation which has already contributed 5 million US dollar. The project is supposed to be launched next year.
The new foundation is launched with a-three-part plan which includes Web Science and Research, Web Technology and Practice and finally Web for Society. According to Berners when a connection is made between two machines it is not only that the machines get involved, but the user also gets connected. The link is not limited to machines but engulfs the human beings too. The new foundation will study such dynamics of Web and bring to forefront the possible results of the research.
