Tiger Woods won the Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge skins tournament by beating the defending champion Camilo Villegas. The tournament was held at Turning Stone Resort's Atunyote Golf Club.
Villegas grabbed USD 180,000 with a birdie at the 14th hole. Woods won the next three holes to finish with USD 230,000 to Villegas' USD 200,000.
The final hole was won by Begay taking USD 70,000, while Mike Weir was pushed out for the second straight year.
The event is collaboration between the Oneida Indian Nation of New York and San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians of California. This is an effort to support the health of Native American youth and their communities.
This foundation was established by Native American Begay.
The foundation organises golf and soccer for promoting physical fitness and wellness among Native American youth. It is specifically done for youth suffering from obesity and diabetes.
A cheque of USD 750,000 was received by Begay for his foundation .Tiger Woods, had the winning Trophy, a piece of Pueblo Indian black pottery from Begay's home state of New Mexi.
