Director: Vishal Pandya
Producer: Vikram Bhatt
Cast: Aashish Chaudhary, Nausheen Ali Sardar, Akshay Kapoor
The clichéd ‘love, lies and betrayal’ bit, a catchphrase for romantic thrillers, gives the audience a clear idea of what is in store. The entry of a cool dude in the lives of a constantly quarrelling husband and wife leads to the disappearance of conjugal loyalty. What follows is Adultery, love, lies, deception and betrayal.
Except for some good twists when the story ends and some eye-catching cinematography by Pravin Bhatt, there is nothing great.
Anjini (Nausheen Ali Sardar) resides in the palatial house, which she had inherited from her parents in Scotland with Rajeev, (Akshay Kapoor), who is a software engineer, who does not have money even to meet the expenses of his house. Anjini gives violin tuitions to kids to meet the expenditures.
Then Rajeev comes up with the idea of disposing the home so that he can fund his business. This is denied by his wife, but gives him the option of renting out a portion of the house so that the financial crunch can be eased out.
Sanjay (Ashish Chowdhry) is the person who occupies the portion. He is a singer at the local pub. Sanjay and Anjini come closer to each other, from where the movie takes twists and turns.
Even though there are certain twists, the other places are guessable. There are certain scenes which look completely bizarre. The husband and wife have an ugly fight and then in the next scene they behave as if everything’s hunky dory. The dialogues look very immature at times.
Nausheen has done a good job in the second half of the movie whereas Akshay Kapoor is a perfect fit for his role. Ashish Chowdhary slips into his character well, including his transformation in the latter reels.
‘Three - Love, Lies & Betrayal’ is nothing new, but yes for those who would love to see steamy scenes, then you can watch the movie.
