'The Simpsons' created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company, on Saturday, September 13, 2008, won the US television's highest honor for a prime-time cartoon at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. It was for a record 10th time that The Simpsons, running for 19 seasons, was chosen as the best half-an-hour animated show.  

 

The central protagonist of the popular cartoon series is the lazy and dumb family man Homer Simpson. Makeup, costumes, sound editing and art direction were the categories for which The Simpsons got honored at the 60th annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The award-function will get broadcast on television the coming week.
