The Joker, who is the arch-rival of Batman, has left behind Magneto of ‘X-Men’, to grab the position of world's best-loved villain of all time.
Despite taking numerous incarnations, the baddie, which has been alive since the 1940 ‘Batman’ comic, is still a favourite of all. The character has been essayed on the silver screen by Hollywood actors late Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson.
The Joker went on to occupy the top slot of all the villains after defeating Magneto, which was essayed by Sir Ian McKellen in the ‘X – Men’ series. Magneto has occupied the second position.
Third place was taken by Spider-Man's psychotic arch-rival the Green Goblin, essayed on Silver screen by Willem Dafoe in the 2002 blockbuster.
"Star Wars" villain Jabba the Hutt came in fourth and Superman's opponent Lex Luther occupied position number five.
