The Islamic fanatic terrorists, who indulged in bloodbath in the name of jihad or the holy war, are now swearing to indulge in ‘qattal’, an act by which they can kill even their own people. Hasham Baber, additional secretary general of Pakistan's Awami National Party revealed that the terrorists are now replacing the term jihad with the Islamic term qattal for their acts.
The move has been adopted by the terrorists as the moderate Muslims have started denouncing the use of jihad by terrorists who indulge in the name of Islam. The term qattal would mean that a terrorist is allowed to kill a Hindu, Christian or even a Shia at will. Baber, who was in India to attend a anti-terrorism conference remarked that Jihad is not about fighting a war or a battle or even killing people but is a struggle for peace. He further added that jihad means a collective decision to struggle.
Hasham Baber’s party has been in the forefront for fighting religious fundamentalists in Pakistan. Baber remarked that today two countries don’t fight with each other instead terrorists are being trained and sent out by establishments to wage proxy war with each other. Mr. Baber also stressed that Islam does not permit the killing of innocents. He asserted that terrorism is being given a religious color by fundamentalists to achieve their skewed agenda.
