Terrorists attacked the paramilitary camp in the Kashgar region of China’s far western Xinjiang province on Monday, August 4, which resulted in the death of 16 security officer and five attackers. Officials informed that the terrorists arrived in two trucks, mowing down the fences of the camp’s compound.

 

They then threw two grenades towards the troops who were absorbed in the morning exercises. The attack killed 14 soldiers there and then and injured two others. Officers informed that five attackers got killed, whereas they have arrested two who stated they aimed to unleash a jihad against ethnic Han Chinese.

 

It was informed by the regional public security department that a terror group styled ‘East Turkistan Islamic Movement’ planned subversive attacks prior the Olympics and that it could be they who instigated today’s attack too.
