Tempers flared in the historic city of Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh after the 700-year-old Hazrat Shah ki Bibi shrine located close by got damaged. The irked locals consequently blocked the Agra-Jaipur highway for many hours until the time an embarrassed National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) promised to repair it.

The reverent shrine got damaged on Sunday, August 31, by the NHAI workers. They were engaged in the widening of the eight channel highway linking Agra, the home of the renowned Taj Mahal, to the capital city of the vibrant Rajasthan Jaipur.
