Teach India, the United Nations Volunteers programme in partnership with The Times Of India, has received a heart-warming response from all corners of the country. A social initiative which aims to bring together children in need of education and people who can contribute a little time towards teaching them, Teach India has met with over 10,000 enthusiastic responses. Many more queries are continuously pouring in from those who wish to participate in this noble initiative.
There is a simple principle guiding the Teach India Mission - If you nurture the desire to teach, then the concerned parties will put you in touch with children who are willing to learn. The Teach India Project will initially be launched in the four metros of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata and then gradually be expanded to other cities and towns as well. More than 60 NGOs, corporates, schools and social organizations are already a part of the Teach India project. Incase you too want to volunteer, then visit the Teach India website at www.teach.timesofindia.com to join this project or SMS TEACH to 58888 to receive the joining form through email.
