Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking forward to obtain a Rs.2,500-crore Indian Railways outsourcing contract.
"CMC and we will certainly look at it very seriously, it needs lot of experience. We have done projects for the British and US railways," TCS chief executive and managing director S. Ramadorai told the reporters. CMC is another Tata group software company.
The other outsourcer in the race is Wipro.
The railways ministry is planning to procure a human resources management system as well as other modules so that integration and automation their payroll, accounting and pension function is possible.
