Adding another project in to its list TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) has bagged a five-year deal with Ericsson in Sweden to supply application maintenance and development services. In pursuance of the deal, TCS along with one more partner will deliver application maintenance services to Ericsson. Also, the deal makes it a preferred supplier for application development services.

Amit Bajaj who heads Nordic region's operation of TCS said that the engagement with Ericsson clearly demonstrates TCS' value proposition that it drives more value for its European clients through increased service quality and greater alignment to their business needs. Similarly, Nils Molin, MD of IDC, Sweden said that this contract shows the acceptance of Indian headquartered IT companies delivering complex projects in the Nordic region.

 

Bajaj opined that Nordic companies are increasingly looking to service providers like TCS to create a compelling value and deliver consulting, IT services & product engineering synergistically through a single global service standard. In Molin's opinion, TCS has been spearheading investing heavily in localizing its Nordic operations. He hoped that firms in Nordic region would ask for more from TCS in future.
