Indian software major, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Italy's Ducati Motor Holding have signed a strategic partnership agreement. This agreement was signed to offer TCS’s technology services to the bike maker, Ducati, said Mr S Ramadorai, CEO & MD, TCS.
Mr Ramadorai added that, TCS would implement ERP for Ducati and its subsidiaries in Europe. The focus of the pact is to bring improvements in the area of forecasts, inventory levels and optimized production plans and overall reduced logistics costs, he said.
Though the agreement with Ducati was a multi-million and multi-year agreement, the actual amount of it and agreed number of years were not revealed to the media.
Mr Gabriele Del Torchio, CEO and president, Ducati said that, with this agreement Ducati would be able to improve the customer responsiveness and business efficiency. For the time being, both the TCS and Ducati are concentrating on the ERP implementation.
