Tata Consultancy Services, the software arm of Tata Group, had reported a net profit of Rs.13.5 billion for the second quarter of 2009-10 fiscal, when compared to the to Rs.11.7 billion net profit reported during the similar period last fiscal.
The company's total income increased to Rs.57.2 billion for the Q2 of 2009-10 from Rs.55.2 billion reported during the corresponding period last fiscal.
The consolidated net profit of TCS increased to Rs.16.4 billion during the quarter, from the Rs.12.7 billion reported during 200-09 fiscal.
Similarly, total consolidated income increased from Rs.67.8 billion for the quarter ended Sep 30 last year to Rs.74.3 billion in the second quarter this year.
