Pop-country sweetheart, Taylor Swift who has made the world go wild with her extreme singing talent will now be honoured with one of the most prestigious award. It has been announced that the singer will receive the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards.
 
Swift will be the youngest to receive the honour as she is just 20. There is no doubt in the success that she has achieved in just the span of two years.
 
The success story of Swift started from 2006 when she released her debut single ‘Tim McGraw’, and then her self-titled debut album, which was subsequently certified multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
 
In November 2008, Swift released her second album, ‘Fearless’. Fearless topped the Billboard 200 in 11 non-consecutive weeks. Swift was named Artist of the Year by Billboard Magazine in 2009 and Fearless won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2010.
 
Swift will be awarded with the Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards on June 17 in New York City.
