Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi has ruled out of any invitation to Tata to open Nano Project in state. His statement put an end to the speculations that Tata might opt for Tamil Nadu, in case, he moves out of Singur in West Bengal and wants another location for Nano Project. Tamil Nadu CM said that there has not been any move from either side on Nano Project relocation in Tamil Nadu.

Karunanidhi opined that when works on the project was progressing in West Bengal, it would not be right to invite them to relocate their project now. Apparently, there have been offers of invitations from various states to Tata to relocate his Nano Project to their states, and the rumor was high in sky that Tamil Nadu state too has offered the same.

Tata's Nano Project is in tatters now, because of Trin Mool Congress's (TMC) continuous protests against it. Government of West Bengal seems helpless in current situation. Lately, looking into situation at Singur, Ratan Tata threatened to take out Nano Project from the state of Bengal. However, state government is still working out for an acceptable solution with TMC leader Mamata Banerjee.
