With an aim to provide mobile banking services to the subscribers, Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL) has tied up with ICICI Bank. While informing about the new services, TTSL said that customers will be able to access banking services on their handset by registering with the ICICI's mobile banking. The telecom company informed that the subscribers can now manage their finances while on the move using iMobile.
Speaking to media, TTSL Assistant Vice President Zubin Jimmy Dubash said that alliance with a leading financial institute like ICICI Bank will help TTSL to expand itself in mobile commerce field. Describing the power and potential of mobile phones, Jimmy Dubash stated that use of mobile phones is likely to revolutionise the banking sector just like ATM.
The mobile banking applications are of great help as the users can transfer funds to any bank account, pay bills, top-up prepaid mobile recharge, view account balances and the last five transaction history. The iMobile application can be downloaded onto data-enabled handsets through BREW catalogue.
