The state of Jammu and Kashmir has got the new mobile service from India's leading CDMA service provider, Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL). The company has invested Rs 1 billion to connect the various regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Under the brand name Tata Indicom, the company informed to provide a slew of services to both pre-paid and post-paid users. Tata Indicom will also offer fixed wireless telephony (walky talky) services.
 
Tata Indicom mobile service will offer coverage in 29 towns in the state and expand its presence to 36 more towns shortly, informed TTSL official. The company source also stated that company will offer its customers a unique experience of the latest technology at affordable prices. The company assured to provide the state's people with good coverage and unmatched voice clarity. There will be value added services for the Tata Indicom subscribers.
 
According to TTSL managing director Anil Sardana, the launch of new mobile service will improve the connectivity of the state. Under the new mobile service, Tata Indicom has offered ‘Go Active’ pack for Rs.199, with an introductory tariff of 50 paise for all local calls and Re1 for long distance calls. A part of the Tata Group of companies, Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) launched its CDMA mobile services in a joint venture with Virgin, UK.
