Tata Teleservices Pvt Ltd has launched its CDMA services in Assam. The company is likely to invest an amount of Rs 1 billion for accomplishing its telecom project in the Assam circle. According to a statement issued by the company, the current decision is taken with a view to expand its business in the country. Under the new plan, Tata Teleservices Pvt Ltd will provide its services among the 31 towns of Assam. After that, it will expand its service network in the entire northeastern region.
 
In order to earn success in telecom sector, the company has come up with several attractive services including pre-paid and post-paid mobile services, photon-high speed internet access, fixed wireless telephony etc. According to reports, a new mobile service pack has been launched under the title 'Northeast Corridor Starter Pack' for Rs.199. This new service pack will enable the subscribers in the northeast region to make long distance calls across Assam for just 50 paise per minute.
 
Commenting on the launch of Assam circle, the managing director of Tata Teleservices Pvt Ltd stated this project will mark the beginning of company's expansion plans in India. The launch of high speed internet access has also been announced by the company. The company claimed that its new internet facility is 10 times faster than any existing mobile wireless technology.
