Tata Motors may join hands with Accenture, a global management and technology consulting firm, to uplift the declining Nano sales, sources said.

According to sources, Tata Motors, which from the past two has been witnessing lower sales, is likely to turn towards Accenture for professional help.

Tata Nano, the lowest-priced car in the world, had problems of fire catching and few accidents were being reported from the mid of 2010. And from the past two months, the company is also witnessing decrease in its Nano sales, which is believed to be due to fire accidents.

Tata Motors, according to sources, is intending to review the model so as to equip it to be able to compete with its rivals. Besides fire issues, Accenture could also help Tata Motors in other issues including supply chain and quality aspects.

The company, however, has not disclosed any details on the matter and declined such speculations.
