Following the recent ruling of California's Supreme Court labeling the previous ban on gay marriage as unconstitutional, popular American television talk show host Ellen DeGeneres wedded her longtime actor girlfriend Portia de Rossi in Los Angeles. It was in May during the taping of a hit show that Ellen DeGeneres voiced her decision to marry Rossi. The two have been in a lesbian love relationship since December 2004.

The wedding ceremony was a quite and private affair convened at their Los Angeles home. Sources inform 50 year-old DeGeneres and 35 year -old de Rossi exchanged rings and handwritten vows. A total of 19 people attended the wedding, including DeGeneres's mother Betty and de Rossi's mother Margaret Rogers. 'She's taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I've taught her. We've both changed and grown, and we just feel like, 'Oh, okay, this is completion',' DeGeneres remarked.
