Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces of India has entered into a contract to build two five-star hotels in Bahrain, an island country in the Persian Gulf. The hotels will be set up at the residential area of Mahooz and Al Jafoor in Bahrain. In order to accomplish the task of building up the hotels, the company has signed a joint venture deal with a real estate developer. As per the contract, the hotel group will not be involved in any capital expenditure. Taj will however get a fixed percentage of revenues as management fee.

Taj Hotels possess seven major brands of hotels including Taj Lands End, Taj Coromandel, Taj Krishna, The Pierre, Taj Lake Palace, Rambagh Palace and Taj Exotic Resort & Spa. All these brands are located in India and other international destination. The Bahrain projects will be branded under Taj Exotic Resort & Spa.
