In the aftermath of rejection of the role of mother by Sneha after knowing that Shriya would be her daughter in the film, Sarath Kumar met Tabu in Hyederabad to substitute Sneha. Sources say that Tabu agreed for the role but she has demanded 75 lakh Rupees. This according to film analysts is a huge amount to be offered to any actress doing the role of mother in Tamil films. Tabu has been offered the role specifically after her two Telugu films where she has done successful glamorous roles.

 

Earlier Sneha who had signed to play the mom’s role rejected the role when she came to know that Shriya was to be her screen daughter, she backed out of the project in the last minute. Later on director and actor duo started searching some one who can play glamorous mom's role. They zeroed to Simran, Padmapriya and Vimala Raman but again things could not be finalized. Now Tabu is latest in the their hunt. But huge amount asked for the role according to film analysts by Tabu is exorbitant and unprecedented and there is less likelihood of her signing the role.
