Mobile network operator T-Mobile has unveiled Sony Ericsson TM506, the new clamshell shaped mobile phone, ideal for web surfing. To hit the market early next month, the TM506 is Sony Ericsson’s first handset supporting T-Mobile’s (News - Alert) AWS spectrum (1700/2100).
The Sony Ericsson TM506 has been created to highlight the personal style of the user. Being compact in size, it is highly portable and can easily fit into one's pocket, purse or briefcase. The buyers of this cell phone get a choice between Chrome with Amber or Emerald highlights with a sleek ebony gloss. Bluetooth 2.0 is also on board, with A2DP support for stereo headsets.
There is a 2 mega pixel camera in this phone, in addition to a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot for expansion of memory. Plus there is Sony Ericsson’s
The integrated A-GPS module with TeleNav’s Navigator navigation software from T-Mobile will come handy should the user want to find his way to a particular place. The handset measures 3.7 x 1.9 x 0.69 inches when not flipped open and weighs only 3.4 ounces (96 grams). The price of the Sony Ericsson TM506 mobile phone has not been divulged yet.
