The first of the vaccines for swine flu has been produced by the world famous drug manufacturer from Europe, Novartis AG. The drug manufacturer has stated on 15 June, 2009 that the first batch has completed successful production.
 
The company had earlier announced on Friday that the new version of H1N1 vaccine which was produced a long time before the schedule will be made available during the fall. This announcement was made by Novartis, a few days after WHO declared swine flu as a pandemic one. This is the first among the pandemic flu of 21st century.
 
The vaccine has been made using cell technology, instead of the normal way of manufacturing vaccine by growing in the eggs. The first batch is a 10 liter one and will be used for the purpose of pre-clinical evaluation as well as for testing. This vaccine may also be used for clinical trials as well.
 
Novartis made a statement where it told that the A/H1N1 vaccine ingredients have been requested to be delivered to about 30 different nations all over the world. The H1N1 or swine flu virus has been declared as pandemic by WHO because of the spreading of the virus in two of the regions of world with cases being reported from Europe, U.S., South America, Australia and Asia.
 
The swine flu started in Mexico and U.S. in April and has spread across 74 countries all over the world.
