With four more deaths, the total death due to swine flu has touched 35 in Karnataka.
All the deaths happened in Bangalore. A 38-year-old woman succumbed to the deadly virus at a government hospital on Tuesday. Three men succumbed to the deadly H1N1 virus on Wednesday, Sunday and Tuesday respectively.
But the reports confirming the nature and cause of death was received only on Tuesday by the health officials.
The doctors, who are providing treatments for those who are infected with the swine flu virus, were given a training programme recently.
"The programme organised by state government was intended at making swine flu treatment more effective," State Director (Health and Family Welfare) Usha Wasunkar told.
"Training focussed on how to handle critical A (H1N1) patients in intensive care units (ICU)," she added.
19 more people tested positive for H1N1 virus infection Thursday, taking the number of confirmed cases in the state to 536. All 19 cases have been reported from Bangalore.
