In an unprecedented step BJP legislators in Bihar went for secret ballot to decide the fate of Sushil Modi, Dy CM of Bihar. Sushil Modi came up in flying colours as majority of the legislators voted for him. Earlier there was a discontent against his working in two capacities one as Dy CM and another as head of BJP legislators in Bihar. Now it has been decided that he will work in both the capacities.

 

BJP which is partner of ruling alliance in the state of Bihar was in trouble after some of its ministers were dropped. The whole affair was carried under the observation of Venkaiah Naidu and Sushma Swaraj. Even L K Advani and Rajnath Singh were consulted before the announcement of restoration of Sushil Modi as Dy CM of the state.

 

According to the party sources, Modi got 35 votes out of 67. Modi commenting on the whole affair said that this is a verdict against forces inimical to the BJP-led NDA grouping. Also, he thanked party for employing democratic methodology for the determination of leadership.
