Suresh Kalmadi, the CWG chairman has told that Rahman is a great artist and gradually his CWG anthem will pick up, in sometime the song will gain acceptance. He has given this statement in the midst of the rising controversies related to questioning of Rahman’s talent.

 

Kalmadi adds, “Rahman is a great artist and we are aware of his credentials. He has won many international awards. I am very happy with the song."

"He is going to film the song and once the video is out and it is played on TV, I am sure it will fast catch on with the audiences. They are going to cheer the song.”

 

There had been a barrage of questions thrown by the politicians on the Oscar and Grammy Award winner music composer and singer, AR Rahman.  They had even mentioned that Rahman took Rs 5 crore for composing the song and took 6 months in composing it and even nothing was up to the mark.
