Nepal's Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala, who is the daughter of Nepali Congress chief G P Koirala is now the Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal.
Sujata, 56, took the oath on Monday from the Prime Minister of Nepal, Madhav Kumar Nepal. She is the second woman Deputy Prime Minister after Shailja Acharya, who is the niece of former Nepal premier Koirala.
She is also the second member of Madheshi ethnic party top occupy the position after Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar.
Sujata came into power after he father pressurized the Nepali government so that his family still holds the reins of the government.
