Zee Group has appointed Subroto Bhattacharya as the new territorial head of the Zee TV’s operations in North and South America. Subroto Bhattacharya replaced the outgoing head Venkat Subramanian. The newly appointed head of Zee Americas was holding the office of the territorial head of Zee TV Europe. As the head of Zee TV USA, Bhattacharya will execute Zee TV’s operations in the US, Canada, Caribbean and Latin America. Subroto Bhattacharya's immense hard work has help Zee TV to consolidate its position in the US. After joining the Zee group in 1996, Bhattacharya initiated the setting up of Zee TV USA in 1998. He was made the head of Zee TV Europe in 2004.

 

Bharat Kumar Ranga, COO of International Business, Zee TV welcomed the decision of vesting the responsibility of Americas operation to Subroto Bhattacharya. According to him, the appointment of Bhattacharya will strengthen the leadership team at Zee TV USA. While serving as the head of Zee TV Europe, Bhattacharya played a major role in expanding the channel's operation in new territories including launching of Zee Russia. Zee TV's Russia operation is focused on meeting the taste and preferences of the Russian speaking population. The channel has earned massive popularity and distribution among the people of Russia.
