Sterlite Technologies, a global provider of transmission solutions for telecom and power companies, Friday said that it will invest Rs.250 crore for the capacity enhancement in the next two years.
The company statement said it would double its optical fibre capacity to 12 million-km this fiscal and will upgrade it to about 20 million-km in 2011.
According to the statement given by the company, to meet the higher production target, Sterlite would expand the capacity of its existing facility in Aurangabad in Maharashtra and also set up a green field plant.
It was also added that the plant location will be decided soon.
