Sterlite Technologies Ltd, announced on Thursday, August 28 that it has clinched contracts worth Rs.2.78 billion. The contracts have come from Power Grid Corp of India Ltd, Jaypee Powergrid, Rajasthan’s state electricity board and the Ethiopian Electric Power Corp.

 

A statement issued by the company informs that these contracts are for the moose and power conductors and that these will be supplied as per the requirement of the customers between September 2008 and end of 2009.  Sterlite has a total manufacturing capacity of 115,000 tonnes of power conductors that it wants to raise to 160,000 tonnes.
