India’s leading metals mining manufacturer Sterlite Industries has registered a net profit of Rs.1,240.33 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal which ended on Sep 30, registering a 28% dip from the Rs.1,720.61 crore reported during 2008-09 Q2.
Total income for the 2009-10 Q2 has been registered at Rs.6,129 crore which has declined by 7.7% from the Rs.6,810 crore reported during corresponding period last fiscal.
Earnings per share stood at Rs.11.83 per equity share compared to Rs.18.02 per share in the corresponding period last year.
