The most beautiful show on earth, the 2008 Miss Earth beauty contest is all set to take place at Angeles City in Pampanga, Philippines on November 9, 2008. The beauty pageant will be participated by 85 beauties from all over the world for the coveted title of Miss Earth. The mega beauty event will be telecasted through out the globe by Star World. The theme of this year's beauty contest is green lifestyle.
Philippines will be represented by Paula Karly Henry who is a native of Cuba. The 26-year-old Miss USA is the oldest contestant of the event. Miss Guam Jennifer Neves is the tallest contestant with a height of 185 cm while Miss Ghana Adoley Addoh is the shortest beauty queen in the pageant. There are nine countries that have sent their respective beauty queens in Miss Earth contest for the first time.
India will be represented by Tanvi Vyas. She qualified for the 2008 Miss Earth contest after attaining the tiltle of Pantaloons Femina Miss India Earth earlier this year. The winner of 2007 Miss Earth contest, Jessica Nicole Trisko will hand over her crown to the successor on the final night. According to website report, 16 contestant representing countries like Spain, Romania, Tanzania, Greece, Brazil, Botswana, Colombia, Czech Republic, the Philippines, Kosovo, Jamaica, Slovak Republic, Thailand, Poland, Bosnia, and Mexico are in the forerun for the title.
