Kolkata-based non-banking financier Srei Infrastructure Finance has registered a net profit of Rs.26.58 crore for the Q2 of 2009-10 fiscal year which ended on Sep 30 when compared to the Rs.26.18 crore registered during corresponding period last fiscal.
The total consolidated income for the Q2 of 2009-10 fiscal has been reported to be Rs.240.86 crore whereas the same reported during last fiscal is Rs.247.24 crore.
Srei's consolidated disbursement during the quarter under review was Rs.2,635 crore as compared to Rs.2,870 crore a year ago.
"Our disbursement in the second quarter of the financial year has been reasonable at Rs.2,635 crore while the profits have also been decent. Economic growth that we saw during the first quarter has further gained momentum," said Hemant Kanoria, chairman and managing director of the company.
"We are quite optimistic that our business in the next two quarters should reflect growth in tandem with the pick-up in the infrastructure investments in the country," he added.
