IPL season two seems to be jinxed. While the news of the season being possibly cut short is still rife, there is yet another bad news - fast bowler S Sreesanth's injury. The player has had a stress-fracture in his lower back and will surely miss Indian Premier League's (IPL) season two, scheduled for April-May. The news was announced by Sreesanth's team - Kings XI Punjab on 18th March, Wednesday. Right now, the ace bowler is in Sydney, undergoing treatment from the physio of Kings XI Punjab - Patrick Farhart, as part of his rehabilitation.

Instead of participating in the game, Sreesanth will be associated with his team as 'fan mentor and community face'. He is quite excited about his new role as well. According to Sreesanth, he will be with his team all through the season, though not as a player, but as a motivator. As per Kings XI team co-owner Ness Wadia, the player will undertake a pivotal role in relation to the team's playing squad and to the community, through various initiatives that are intended to promote the game and the franchise.
