Spanco Telesystems and Solutions has entered in to an agreement with Spice Group so as to merge the BPO businesses of both the firms. The Information technology and hardware firm Spanco made this declaration on October 9, 2008 revealing that both the firms will merge their domestic operation. The company is very hopeful that the coalition will be able to meet the needs of diverse clients through one organization. Both the BPO is said to have grab over different specific market and vertical segment.

The Spanco-Spice JV merger is actually a coalition of three BPOs- Omnia BPO Services (a Spice Televentures subsidiary) and Bharat BPO (an existing JV of Omnia and Spanco Telesystems) and Spanco BPO Services. From the current 7,000 seats, the joint venture is planning to climb up to 15,000 seats in the near future. Many critics are of the opinion that the newly merged BPOs will surely throw tough challenges for all the domestic BPOs existing in India.
