The meteorological department on Friday said that the south west monsoon of India has covered all the parts of India.

The rains available from south west monsoon are very crucial for the sowing of crops such as oil seeds, paddy, cotton, pulses and sugarcane. According to the meteorological department, the rains have covered all the regions of India. 
"Southwest monsoon has further advanced today into remaining parts of Rajasthan and thus covered the entire country," India Meteorological Department said on its website.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the monsoon covers India completely by July 15. The rainfall received between June 1 and July 1 is 92.2 mm, which is 46% lower than normal. The met office on last Wednesday has told that total rainfall required for the vital June-September monsoon is only 93% of the long-term average which will be below the normal for the first time in 4 years.
