The gymnastics event in the approaching Beijing Olympics will have playing in the background original music tracks composed by South Indian musicians. Tamil composer Lekha Rathina Kumar informed that his music which is available in the Sonoton Library of Germany was earlier chosen for the warm-up events. But he said that he will compose fresh tracks that will go with the gymnasts’ body language during Olympics.

Assisting Kumar in composing this music for the Beijing Olympics will be keyboard player Mani Sharma, flautist Sudhakar and sitar maestro Janardan. Lekha Rathina Kumar’s music has also been used earlier in Hollywood movie ‘Cloverfield’ as the background music. Apart from this group, even singer-composer Sandeep Chowta has been approached to make the music for the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
