The new Sony Ericsson Xperia X2, which made its official debut on Wednesday, will run on the Windows Mobile 6.5.
The Xperia X2, which is succeeding Xperia X1, comes with new features such as Flash support in Internet Explorer Mobile, Microsoft's app store as well as the Windows Marketplace for Mobile.
Slide View, a new feature flaunted by this latest Sony Ericsson, will inform the users if they receive any missed calls or new messages, so that these can be viewed easily.
The Xperia panel interface, which had been a part of Xperia X1, has been retained with 14 panels preloaded on the smart phone. 16 other panels are available for download, including those for Skype, CNN, and Google.
The Xperia X2 is equipped with a 3.2-inch WVGA touch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, an 8.1-megapixel camera, and TV out capabilities. The quad-band world phone supports North American 3G bands, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
The release date or price of the Xperia X2 has not been revealed by the company. According to the company, it will be available in select markets and will be available in two colours - black and silver.
