The long-rumored Sony Ericsson Xperia Play gaming plus smartphone device is finally unveiled on Sunday, the day before the Mobile World Congress’ (MWC) 2011 commencement at Barcelona on February 14.
 
The first-of-its-kind device, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, comes with a slider. And when the slider is pushed, one can notice gaming control buttons while the touch-screen phone has four hardware buttons.
 
The device has a larger display with 4 inches touch-screen and has 854x480 pixels resolution. Sony keeps up to the expectation in offering finest display. Sony Ericsson Xperia Play’s vibrant colours and graphics are appreciable part of the phone.
 
The smartphone runs on Gingerbread Android 2.3 and equips rich Internet features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and allows downloading from Google Android. The smartphone has a 5.1 mega pixels camera with added features like autofocus and flash, image stabilization, and video recording.
 
The phone hosts a 400MB of internal memory that gives ample space for more usage. The music player Timescape interface from the company is also enabled in the device.
 
It is being reported that the phone would be available in the United States exclusively from Verizon Wireless in the spring.
