Sony Ericsson entering into digital photo frame market has launched its first digital photo frame the IDP-100. It has a 7-inch LED screen which has a resolution of 800×480. Also, its built-in memory of 28MB makes it easier to transfer images from phones and digital cameras. Photos can also be displayed and managed on the 7 inch frame with the touch sensitive control menu in it.
The transfer of images could be done through the wireless Bluetooth connection. It has a USB 2.0 port, or memory card slots for the M2, microSD, SD or MS Duo standards. IDP-100 has an auto-flip in which the user doesn’t have to reformat the vertical pictures for the frame. It can store up to 500 still images on the internal memory. Also, it has a world clock with three time zones.
The photo frame makes it possible to users to opt and pick their personal preferences. Once the option is chosen, photos are automatically resized and oriented in either the landscape or portrait position. Its built-in Digital Image Correction software corrects color and enhances the tone and edges of snaps. Reportedly, IDP-100 will be available in dark grey color by the end of the year.
