According to a new rumour, the Sony Ericsson Jalou is a smart-phone that is based on the Symbian S60 5th edition. It is just like the Satio. According to the rumours, Jalou will have a 3" touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera and a GPS receiver.

The Sony Ericsson Jalou will also have a quad-band GSM support and tri-band HSPA. Wi-Fi is also present, and but the presence of Bluetooth has not been explicitly mentioned, yet has to be there.

The buttons on the side of the Jalou are similar to those on the W995, the latest high-end Walkman line, but is quite chubbier. There is something under the screen which would be reckoned as a flap similar to the good old days of the P-series, which ran the ill-fated UIQ interface for Symbian.

If the Jalou is actually there, then Sony Ericsson will have a decent range of OSes in their portfolio. It is their proprietary OS, which is pretty good for feature phones - multitasking and all, Windows Mobile with their X-Panels on top - the XPERIA X1 and X2, and finally the X3 (formerly Rachael) running Android.

Let us wait for some time to check if there is any information from Sony Ericsson on Jalou.
