Congress MP Madan Lal has alleged that Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad saved the state Assembly speaker Tara Chand in the infamous Srinagar sex scandal. The congress MP from Jammu & Kashmir asserted that Speaker Tara Chand was involved in the sex scandal which witnessed many IAS officers and ministers being arrested.

Srinagar was on the boil when news about the prostitution racket run by Sabeena from a house in the Chinkral Moholla of Habbakadal came out in open. More rage and public protest surfaced as names of government officials and ministers cropped up in the sex scandal. Dukhtaran-e-Millat head, Asiya Andrabi had remarked after the disclosure of scandal that crores of rupees have been spent to wipe out the names of big guns from the sex scandal. However, the statement by Congress MP Madan Lal more than two years after the sex scandal rocked Srinagar, can spell trouble and more embarrassment for Congress in an election year.
