Sonia Gandhi, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson and Rae Bareli MP who is in Lucknow has plans toll make surprise visits in villages in her constituency to check out development works there.
Sonia Gandhi left for Rae Bareli after she reached Lucknow on Monday morning, where she will spend three days.
"During her three-day visit, she will make surprise visits to the rural parts of Rae Bareli and will also hold meetings with the local party workers," Akhilesh Pratap Singh, spokesperson of the state Congress unit, told.
The inauguration of the newly constructed building of the Firoz Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology will be done by Sonia Gandhi and on Wednesday, she will be inaugurating Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’ customer care in Rae Bareli.
"Soniaji will be visiting over a dozen villages everyday during her stay in Rae Bareli," Singh added.
