Somdev Devvarman stormed into the quarterfinals of Seoul ATP Challenger. He outclassed Pavol Cervenak in the $125,000 event. The other Indian in the race Prakash Amritraj was ousted of the tournament.
Fourth-seeded Somdev defeated the Slovak by 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the second round of the hard court event. Prakash Amritraj went down to second seed and Davis Cupper Yen-Hsun Lu.He suffered a 1-6, 3-6 defeat at the hands of Yen-Hsun Lu.
Somdev, who could not make it in the doubles event in the first round, will face Czech Republic's Dusan Lojda in his next singles encounter.
Prakash's doubles campaign has also ended in the event as he and partner Marin ko Matosevic lost the opening round by 4-6, 4-6 to top seeded Thai pair of Sanchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana.
The Indian Australian pair of Purav Raja and Sadik Kadir lost their first round match by 7-5, 2-6, 8-10 to the Japanese duo of Hiroki Kondo and GO Soeda.
