An IT firm located in the Technopark of Thiruvananthapuram has developed a version of the very common snakes and ladders board game, which can be played on iPhones and iTouch.
"The Apple company after seeing the game asked us to re-do it as it had the iPhone logo. We removed it and the game was released on Sep 27. In a short span of time it has had more than 250,000 downloads," said T. Harikumar, who was founder of the firm. He had quit ISRO for this.
The games can be downloaded from iTunes for free by all those who own an iPhone or an iTouch.
"We have given it a real feel. When the dice appears on screen, just shake the phone as you would do it while playing on the board game, and the dice shows the number," Harikumar told.
The firm, which is into image processing, has 22 employees.
