British director Danny Boyle's film Slumdog Millionaire has turned out to be a huge hit at the Toronto Film Festival where it premiered recently. The audiences, infact, liked it so much that the film fetched Boyle the Cadillac People's Choice Award. Slumdog Millionaire is a story about an Indian teenager from the Mumbai slums, who goes on to become a millionaire in a TV game-show.

The film will get screened by the US theaters on November 28. It was debutant actress Freida Pinto who accepted the Cadillac People's Choice Award on behalf of Danny Boyle. Unlike many other film festivals, it is the audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival who decide to whom the top award will go.  Slumdog Millionaire also features Anil Kapoor in it as the host of the game-show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
