Mumbai-shot hit film 'Slumdog Millionaire' has bagged as many as 10 Oscar nominations with AR Rahman getting three of them. The Indian music maestro has won triple Oscar nomination in two categories for original score and two songs composed by him. The songs which won Oscars nomination include 'O Saya' and 'Jai Ho'. Apart from these three, other Oscar nominations for 'Slumdog Millionaire' include best picture, best director, best adapted screenplay, best cinematography, best film editing, best sound editing and best sound mixing.
 
British director Danny Boyle's film recently won four Golden Globes. The film featuring British Indian actor Dev Patel as protagonist tells the heart warming story of boy from the slum areas of Mumbai who becomes a billionaire by winning a game show. By winning the Golden Globe Awards, the film had already made its path for the Oscars.
 
The Oscar Awards ceremony is slated to be held on February 22 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. The movie's success over the last few months has placed it to number 10 on the North American box office chart. This past weekend 'Slumdog Millionaire' earned about $44.2 million. Apart from winning several laurels, the movie also bagged 11 Bafta nominations.
